Rear Door Panel Removal
We review how to remove the rear door panel. This will give you access to upgrading the speakers and sound deadening the door. 1.
Remove cover behind door handle
Insert prying tool by the lock switch
Pulling against the tool should release the cover from the panel
There are no major clips to be concerned about
2.
Remove window switch panel and plug
Insert prying tool into the back side of the window switch
The window switch cannot be removed from the front side due to “hooks” that hold it into the door panel
Unplug the switch to free it from the door
3.
Remove arm rest and handle trim
There is a small slot in the corner to insert a tool and begin prying off the cover
Work you way up.
There are hooks in the very back that cannot be pried off. You’ll need to slid out.
4.
Unscrew 3 Screws that hold trim
There are three screws that need to be removed with a Phillips screw driver
5.
Pull door trim off
Starting at the bottom, begin pulling the door panel off.
You can look at the images to see where all the trim holders are located to minimize damage
6.
Release door handle
Remove the door handle.
It’s held in place by a ball at the end of the wire
